Hi, it's your city...where is?
where are you from?...
in what city do you live?
Hi,
I'm from California. I spent some childhood years in Hong Kong. Within Hong Kong, there's an district called Kowloon, and Kowloon Walled City is only a group of buildings in that area. It is a lawless place until it was demolished in the 90's. It is not the area I lived in, but it was an interesting piece of history and I've decided to create a fictional football team about it, just for fun.
Hong Kong was governed by British government until late 90's as a British colony. But there was a part of the city, a small area of land in the Kowloon area, which did not belong to the British, this small area technically belongs to China, it was a very strange technicality but China did not use this land either.
The HK police does not have jurisdiction in this area. So illegal buildings started growing, in very strange formats and dangerous illegal constructions happened year after year. It kept growing and it eventually became a maze, dirty, crowded, and bad lighting, bad ventilation.
It also became the home for many how wanted to hide from the law. Drugs, prostitutes, gangs, illegal immigrants, and rumors say even China use it secretly to carry information. From the outside, it was maybe viewed as the seediest and most dangerous place in HK, but still, many poor normal families lived there as well.
It was a legendary group of buildings, a long list of international movies, games, comics draw their inspiration from its atmosphere and geography.
Also, the old airport was close to it and was one of the most exciting landings for anyone traveling, because the planes would almost touch the top of these buildings.
I found an Italian link on this if you want to learn more:

and a video:
The name Kowloon actually means 9 dragons, which is symbolic to 8 mountains and one emperor. Which will be part of the design of my team's shirt.
And there is a guy who draws graffiti for 50 years until his death, who calls himself the "King of Kowloon", because he believes Kowloon belongs to his family (according to his family heritage in history record). But Kowloon, and all of Hong Kong, was taken by the British, so he is not happy, but he can only complain silently with his illegal graffiti.
Most people think he is crazy. No one knows and can really prove if his words are the truth. But he is dedicated and draws graffiti for 50 years of his life. In the end, he is viewed as a life-long artist.

This will also be part of my shirt design.
and... the shirt is ready. this is a fake team, of a real place, of a false king.

Salve,
Io sono dalla California. Ho trascorso alcuni anni dell'infanzia a Hong Kong.
